Mittens for Koalas

I spent my Friday Night with Friends
sewing mittens for koalas who have been burnt during the recent bushfires.
I used this pattern available from the IFAW and used french seams so the koala's claws wouldn't become entangled in the seams.
I used some of my much loved Chirpy Lola stash + a couple of fat quarters sent to me by sweet Peg.
I love this fabric - so cheerful and pretty.

If you love Rosie's fabric as much as me you can download a wonderful free pattern HERE at Ella Blue Fabrics.  The quilt is called Chirpy Lola Pinwheels.

Hope you have a happy day
Love

  10. Those little Koala mittens are precious! It's heartbreaking that they have to have burnt paws in order to wear them though. You're doing a great job for those little bears..... more power to you! xxx
