Mittens for Koalas
I spent my Friday Night with Friends
sewing mittens for koalas who have been burnt during the recent bushfires.
I used this pattern available from the IFAW and used french seams so the koala's claws wouldn't become entangled in the seams.
I used some of my much loved Chirpy Lola stash + a couple of fat quarters sent to me by sweet Peg.
I love this fabric - so cheerful and pretty.

there are going to be some pretty spiffy koalas out there.

ReplyDeleteWhat a great thing to do Mel.Poor little things must really suffer.I don't know much about koalas,but I think my daughter told me they move slowly and can't get away from the fires quick enough.x
