A super dooper seaside bargain.

Don't you just love a bargain?  I got two amazing buys at the fabulous Phillip Island Patchworkers show on Saturday.  I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the price tags on these wonderful cushions.
$10
$8
When John is on holidays in early December we are going to redecorate the bed room and I plan to have a new red quilt on the bed.  These delightful pillows will take pride of place at the head of the bed.  Here's a picture of some of the other fabulous goodies which were on sale at the quilt show.

In recognition of my fabulous buy, my this week's treasure is bargains. Do you have something you treasure to share with us today? Please add your details to Mr Linky and play along.

FABULOUS FREE STUFF
I've always loved basket blocks and basket stitcheries and Bee Tree Designs is a fabulous resource for free patterns.
Here's the LINK to pop over and share in the loveliness.

PS Please pop over to Sue's delightful blog, Quilted Hugs, and read her post on Oscar's Law.  Let's do everything we can to stop the cruel practice of puppy farms.  I'm going to print out their petition to parliament and take it to my next guild meeting.

  6. I love Bronwyn Hayes Designs... I believe that is what the cushion's designs are or at least the bottom one is... LOL obviously down at Phillip Island they do it for love rather than money... Phillip Island is one of the places I love in Victoria and have lots of fond memories of when my girls and I holidayed there 30 years ago... Where was the quilt exhibition held??? There is a hall (or used to be) just as you entered Cowes which every year would hold a fete about the same time as we were there... It was in the days when my girls played with Barbie dolls and they - the dolls - would get a new wardrobe of clothes each year as there were a group of ladies who sewed and knitted exculusively for the Barbie doll stall...I believe I still have some of them (the clothes) somewhere.... Thanks for sharing...

  9. Oh my goodness, that is a LOT of stitching beauty for such a small price. That second cushion has so much work in it, and it is kinda sad that it went for such a low price, although good for you to be the finder/rescuer. What a score! I am often "rescuing" doilies with embroidery on them from Vinnies. I just cannot bear to see someone's beautiful work just sitting there and not being loved like it once was. I have never been to Philip Island, but my ex bf goes there in October every year for the motorcycle stuff. I'm happy you had such a nice weekend. debbie ps. I am loving the dog shaming site...I just love dogs, always have. Some of the facial expressions just melt my heart and soul...

  19. Wow great cushions Melody, great pick-up... I recognise the 2nd one as a Red Brolly design that if I remember correctly was in a Homespun magazine a while back. So much work has gone into these stitcheries, they are now in a very appreciative home!
