Phillip Island Patchworkers Quilt Show

Saturday was a perfect spring day for a drive, so nice and early John and I set off for a trip down the coast to Phillip Island.  Lured by the promise of a devonshire tea, John was very happy to accompany me to the Phillip Island Patchworkers Quilt Show.  And what a wonderful show it proved to be.  Here's just a few of the gorgeous quilts which were on display.





This one was made of teeny tiny hexies.
One of the members designed this quilt and shared it as a BOM with the group.  This beautiful version was made by my lovely friend, Rosalie.
I loved it in red and white too.
The promised scones.
And we walked along six more piers and jetties so no wonder I had a great big sleep in yesterday.

    Those scones look pretty good. I can't believe the workmanship of some of these! They must have taken forever to piece together and quilt!

    Beautiful quilts,thanks for sharing .Scones look delicious mmm girl after my own heart.
    I went to Phillip Island when I was in Auatralia visiting my daughter.They took us to see the penguins,it was wonderful(I cried when all the little penguins came running up the beach)

    Great photos thank you for sharing. I was also there on Saturday afternoon enjoying all the great quilts the group displayed. We look forward to our display every year and its great to hear all the lovely comments. :-)
