Phillip Island Patchworkers Quilt Show

Saturday was a perfect spring day for a drive, so nice and early John and I set off for a trip down the coast to Phillip Island.  Lured by the promise of a devonshire tea, John was very happy to accompany me to the Phillip Island Patchworkers Quilt Show.  And what a wonderful show it proved to be.  Here's just a few of the gorgeous quilts which were on display.

This one was made of teeny tiny hexies.
One of the members designed this quilt and shared it as a BOM with the group.  This beautiful version was made by my lovely friend, Rosalie.
I loved it in red and white too.
The promised scones.
And we walked along six more piers and jetties so no wonder I had a great big sleep in yesterday.

FABULOUS FREE STUFF
Lily's Quilts is a great place to visit and I adore this gorgeous, dramatic block.  There's a tutorial on how to make it too.  Here's the LINK.  Many thanks to Lynne.

  1. Those scones look pretty good. I can't believe the workmanship of some of these! They must have taken forever to piece together and quilt!
