Tuesday Treasures

I'm quite partial to a Pimms and lemonade on a sunny afternoon whilst sitting in the garden reading or sewing.   The idea of decorating this drink with borage flowers has always appealed, so this year, for the first time, I grew some borage. I am absolutely thrilled with the result.

I grew it in one of my herb barrels but next year I shall sew the seeds in some flower beds too. Apparently it self seeds which I see as a huge bonus.  I like my garden to look a bit wild so the idea of these magnificent blue flowers popping up in unexpected places is delightful and worth treasuring.
I'm so glad that the simple things in life, like a beautiful little flower, give me such joy.
Do you have a treasure to share with us today. It can be a person, a place or a thing.  Something to eat or a song you love. An idea, a thought or a dream.  Anything you like.  Just pop your details into Mr Linky and share in the fun.

  7. I too love a Pimms and lemondade, but I put a sliver of curled cucumber skin in mine, I love the elegant way it wraps around the inside of a tall glass. Looking forward to summer to enjoy one of these. Love the blue borage, very pretty indeed.

I agree natures exquisite offerings cannot be surpassed even in one simple blossom.

  16. Do you know - I can't think that I've ever had Pimms? One of my favourite tipples is a G & T with a little crushed ice and a sliver of lemon, mmmmm...

Will have to give it a go, especially if complementing it with beautiful borage is included. I love blue flowers.
