A new project...

... that is traveling around through blog land at the speed of sound and I've decided to join in.
 The Farmer's Wife Quilt-A-Long
organised by Angela and Amanda.  I read about it first on Sherri's adorable blog A Quilting Life.
I'm planning on working at my own pace, maybe only one block a week, and I've promised myself that I'm only going to use my stash. I just ordered the book on line so I've got a bit of time to delve into my piles of fabric, while I wait for it to arrive.
There's already a great Flickr group.   I guess I've got another 111 blocks to put on my To Do List.

  1. Snap Melody!!! I borrowed this self same book from the library and I was thinking that most of the blocks looked quite manageable (famous last words here!!!)I am still undecided whether to do them or not but I shall be interested in your progress...

  9. The book looks great. Love to read their stories. I can't find where to order it. The only thing I could find mentions august 2011. It's tempting! Definitely love to get the book!

  10. It's a lovely quilt and I was tempted but had to put the thought out of my mind until I get through a few of the ones I already have. I've been collecting blocks for a Civil War quilt from Barbara Brackman and Birdie Stitcheries from Little Miss Shabby. Good luck with reducing your stash!

  12. 111 more blocks to add to your To Do list sounds rather daunting but it should be a lot of fun in the process! I have also recently bought the Farmers Wife book so will watch your progress with interest :-)
