Teddy Bears Picnic

Feel like coming on a Teddy Bears Picnic. Well today's the day...

Share a Teddy Bear
Many years ago I was a Shopping Tour Hostess (one day I'll make your hair curl and tell you some anecdotes) and most weeks we visited a gift-ware importer who sold these adorable little figurines which were made and hand-painted in Scotland. I bought quite a few.  I just love the detail in each piece.
This is the largest one and it is only 3" long.

A Free Pattern
This weeks free pattern is a little friendship quilt. You could use it on a dolly's bed, as a table topper or hang it on the wall.  You can get the pattern HERE.  And the instructions HERE.  I was going through my suffolk puff phase when I designed it, but I think I'd substitute hexie flowers if I were to re-make it now.

Next week's pattern will be a matching chain of felt teddies which are also buttoned together with friendship.

    happy birthday Mel, hope it's a good one. i will put a teddy on tomorrow as work, hospital visit and dancing mean no time today. love being a part of teddy bears picnic though

    I've joined in again today for the Teddy Bears picnic with a special bear who actually plays the tune. :-) It looked a perfect day when I got up this morning but is now overcast and grey again :-( Hope you are safe and well - sounds like Australia is getting a real battering lately!
