Oh Wow

I'm part of the Birthday Fat Quarter Swap with Maree from On My Veranda. Yesterday was my birthday and I received these fabulous gifts from my fellow swappers. I am absolutely thrilled with them.

Peg sent me two beautiful French General fabrics, the most exquisite card and a tin of biscuits wrapped in another beautiful fat quarter.  How did she know that I like to keep all of my current projects in tins? So not only can I eat the yummy biscuits I've now got somewhere to keep my latest piece of stitching.  Huge thanks to Peg.

I was lucky enough to receive one of Maree's goody bags.  She blogged about these the other day.  Beautiful blue fabrics, heaps of tasty treats, latte mix and tea to drink, gorgeous scented soap and handcream.  The gift tag is a delicate ceramic piece. Wow, lucky me.

Liz sent me a gorgeous French General fat quarter and a lovely fat quarter of a fabric I've never seen before.  I'm going to use it to make hexagons, how wonderful will they be.  The dearest little felt flower was part of my gift too.  I'm going to find it a home on my new BOM which will be made from wool felt.  I love it Lizzy.

Laurie from New Zealand sent four delightful blue fat quarters, a charming card and the most beautiful scissor keep I've ever seen.  The photo does not do it justice.  I will always treasure it.

Fiona sent two divine blue fat quarters, three gorgeous girly luggage tags - so me -  a beautiful card and a really cute cup cake hanging for my kitchen. Enormous thanks.

A year ago I had no idea at all that this wonderful bit of blog-land existed.  About six months ago, I had to give up work due to my MS and thought I'd try to write a little blog to keep my mind active.  I had no idea the joy it would bring me.  Right from the start I was greeted with friendship, kindness and welcomed into the group.  Now these amazing gifts.  I am so lucky to have you all be part of my life.  Many many thanks.
