Melbourne Cup Day turned into hexie flower day for me. I downloaded an Inspector Frost audiobook, settled myself in a comfy chair and made five hexie flowers.
First I added 2 new flowers to my Flower Garden quilt pile. Lovely Jenny over at Elephantz has a gorgeous free quilt pattern she is sharing with us all. There are four adorable little stitcheries which are the perfect size to put in the middle of my hexies. I stitched 'Love' and am so happy with it, I will add 'Peace', "Joy' and 'Hope' to the pile next week.
I also made 3 more flowers for my Scrappy Flower quilt. I'm off to my sewing group now, hope you all have a great day
Many thanks to Karen at Journey of a Quilter for organising this for us each week. Check out some other hexie flowers on her blog.
