This post made me smile. We spend so long getting rid of the critters 'wrecking' the garden that we forget that they're beautiful in their own right. Thanks for the reminder. x
aphids - a bit of soapy water - non toxic even to a ditty bird eating it afterwards :) ducks - got to love an animal that always sounds like its laughing. possums & flying foxes - good luck with them ! and snails - what are those ducks SUPPOSED to be doing anyway ;)
P.S. there is a new product with iron chelates for snails instead of poisons, that is supposed to be non-toxic - but check to make certain.
pretty!! Spring is in the air, im just hoping for more sun and less rain/wind! ....insects in the garden everywhere - they need to survive too right? haha
Lots of creepy crawlies and flying things at your house. Something is already eating the new basil planted on thursday I think, although most other things have been surviving. We have a few aphids around but no roses so they must be eating something else. Lou.
Hi, I just wanted to tell you I have become a follower of your blog. I have a daughter called Melody! We used to breed toy poodles. I now have 2, an apricot boy aged 6, and a white boy aged 16. I love all animals, but I just love toy poodles (especially as I am an asthmatic). Did you know that they are classed as the 2nd most intelligent dog around? Border collies are 1st. Once we had a little pocket toy when we were breeding, and my hubbie slept in the loungeroom every night with the fire on 24 hours a day, and we hand fed her every 2 hours. She was half the size of the rest of the litter, and she survived due to our constant care. She went to a lovely family who adore her. Hope you pop by my blog too. Hugs n Blessings from Sue of country-blossoms.blogspot.com
As long as it isn't the dogs getting gobbled in the garden!
