For the Love of Hexies

On Monday I took a trip into town, with Christine and Anne to see the quilts on show at The Ian Potter Centre and the hexie quilts stole my heart.
This one was made of 1/4" hexies.  Amazing and breathtakingly beautiful.

All of the quilts were part of the exhibition Making the Australian Quilt and dated from 1800 - 1950.  It is only on until Nov 6th and well worth a visit.

I love these beautiful trinket cases.
Designed and made by Heidi from Fabric Mutt, the pattern is very kindly shared at the fabulous Fat Quarter Shop's Jolly Jabber.  Please follow this LINK to find the pattern.  Many many thanks to everyone involved.
Have a wonderful day
Love

  4. Yep, it was a wonderful exhibition. Pity I still can't load my phone pics onto the computer. That first one is my favourite of all. I have seen it before in another exhibit. Great that you got to see it.
