Another new feature

I've started a new feature on my blog, a page called
Things To Do and Places To Go.
(Pages are located just below my header.)

When I'm chatting to someone new, either online or in person I am often asked how I find out about various Stitching Days and Quilt Shows I attend.  I always say you've just got to get in the loop and then you'll find out about heaps of things to do and places to go...so this year I plan to put you in the loop too.  I'll be listing any events I hear about on this page. It would also be awesome if you can send me a message with the details of any events you hear about especially if you are in another state or country.

(Big thanks to Robyn who suggested I put a state/country on the page entry as my reader come from all over the world, - great idea, I'm doing it now) Here's what I've got listed at the moment.

Lovely Jackie got in touch with me to tell me about two more BOMs for my list. Here's what she wrote.
Here are a couple more you might want to check out. They're both free for one month ~ after that you have to pay a small fee. The applique one (1857 Album Quilt) is for 20 months and the embroidery one (Vintage Blooms) is for 10 months. PDF downloads.
Thank you so much for sharing these BOMs Jackie.  Here are the Links.

The 1857 Quilt from Sentimental Stitches.  Please note the first three months are free then there is a small fee for the blocks.

Dream Garden at Sentimental Stitches

This is supposed to be my UFO year, although a few new projects are calling my name.  To keep me on track I've joined Dawn and Wendy at Sew It's Finished.

This blog is designed as a place we can list and show our UFOs.  A great place to receive encouragement with this process and don't we all love both giving and receiving encouragement. Many many thanks to Dawn and Wendy for organising this for us.

Now for my little giveaway winners.  I'll be sending the little puppy key tag to Esther and the flower to Brenda.  Thank you so much to everyone who liked them.  I'll be giving away some more next month.
(PS Please email me Brenda as I cannot find your email address on your blog, many thanks.)

This is such a gorgeous bag especially made up in Freshwater fabrics.
You can find the pattern and a great tutorial by following this LINK.  It is on the Riley Blake site and is made by Lindsay from Fort Worth Fabric Studio.  Huge thanks to everyone involved.

I'm off to Jam and Cream with Christine and Helen today so I know I'll have heaps of fun
Hope you have a fun day too.
Love

  4. I really like that you are posting classes from all over on your blog. I would like to request on thing, please add the county and/or state that the event is being help. I was getting excited about the Palm Beach one noted on the blog thinking it was Palm Beach, Florida....rereading I read that it was not even in the USA, hence my request. Keep up the good work!
