An Afternoon with Leesa Chandler

I had a fabulous time on Wednesday when I spent an afternoon stitching away with Leesa Chandler at one of her Try It Out days.  It was held in a lovely room at the beautiful Cranbourne Botanic gardens, which feature all Australian native plants. The landscaping in the gardens is brilliant.
There were a variety of projects to try and new skills to learn and it was fabulous to be able to pick up and take a good look at Leesa's beautiful quilts, bags and other projects.

As I've written before, we are so lucky here in Melbourne that we have so many amazingly talented designers who are happy to share their skills with us. Leesa doesn't charge any tuition for these Try It Out days and the kits for each project are only $3 each and include everything you need, even a needle.

If you get a chance to go along to one of these fun days I would encourage you to do so as it was heaps of fun and a super bargain too.
Lots of people have been making these sweet little owls lately.  They have been popping up all over Facebook...
...so I thought you might like to make some too.
Just follow this LINK to Heather's lovely blog, Seriously Crazy for Craft, and you can join in the owly fun.  Many many thanks to Heather.
Hope you are having a fabulous day
Love
