In the Jungle

I'm making Henry a cheeky little monkey quilt.  Yesterday at the NOTYQ sit and sew session I bought the most delightful bundle of green 2 1/2 inch strips of gorgeous fabrics, including quite a number of batiks.
I spent a bit of time sewing some of the strips together for a jungle background for the little monkeys to play.  John has to work on Monday's public holiday so I think the monkeys and I will spend the day together.

Super cute little owls are shared, along with their pattern and a tutorial,  at fabulous EfemeraInk.  Here's the LINK.
Huge thanks to Effie for sharing.

  4. I love your monkey quilt. Are you making a regular patchwork and then appliqueing the monkey(s) on top? Darling! Also, cute owls...thanks for the pattern.

  5. Henry is going to love the monkey's because his grandma does such wonderful needlework! I hope you enjoyed your day monkeying around! Our little Henry got that flu that has been going around here in the US this past week and had to spend a night in the hospital. Talked to my daughter today and she said he was just starting to have a couple ounces of formula every few hours that did not come back up. We were quite worried and I am so glad he is perking back up.
