The Swapping Pledge

I thought it was time to renew my swapping pledge.  I do take all my swaps very seriously, although they are so much fun to do, and I always strive to send something which I hope the other person will enjoy.

I will try my utmost...
·        To always swap on time.
·        To always email a THANK YOU to my partner.
·        To be considerate and thoughtful when choosing a gift.
·        To give my partner the quality of gift that I would like to receive.
·        To communicate when it’s required.
·        To NEVER over commit and let a partner down.
·        To advise the swap mama when I receive my gift.

If you would like to make this pledge too, pop over and visit Australia's Swap Mama Queen, Cheryll at Gone Stitchin'.  Here's the LINK to Cheryll's January 5th post.

I've received a couple of lovely surprises in the mail in the last couple of days.  These beautiful hexies arrived from Lynette as part of the Inchy Hexie Flowers group.

And I received another gorgeous churn dash block from a wonderful secret angel from Sue's Aussie Block swaps group.

Enormous thanks to both Lynette and my lovely secret angel.

I discovered I didn't have the right colour threads for my Summertime project so I finally finished the base of my little half inch hexie purse while at the NOTYQ sit and sew session yesterday.
I started my purse at the same time as fabulous Marina and hers has been finished for months so I've put this right on top of my WIPs. I feeling pretty enthusiastic about this project at the moment but with a couple of hundred little hexies to go, who knows how long this motivation will last.  Here's a picture of Marina's bag.  I'm posting it here to inspire me to keep going.

Such a beautiful bag
