Starting to stitch

my Initial Swap gift.
I'm incorporating this delightful free stitchery from lovely Michelle of Rag Tag Stitchin into my gift.
(Of course I was sneaky and covered the initial for the picture.)

I traced it out yesterday and had a stitching afternoon inside away from Melbourne's horrible hot windy weather.  In fact, as I was a bit tired, I sat in my comfy bed propped up on a pile of pillows (luckily the room is airconditioned) and watched good old Inspector Frost solve a couple of crimes.  I sipped cold drinks, ate a few Quality Street and generally had a wonderful time.  Thanks to Michelle for the sweet little angel and to Cheryl for organising the fun swap.

A great one today.  I'm a big fan of Anna Maria Horner.  I think so is so talented and she is also very generous with what she shares with us all.  Check out her MAKE page.  I particularly love this quilt
and yes there is a brilliant tutorial.
