Being bad

I know I should be finishing up every UFO before I embark on another new project but this is one I just could not resist. As soon as I saw the dear little mouse faces peeping from Michelle's adorable design I knew this was one I would stitch.

So while everyone else was gobbling yummy treats and I was left home alone on Christmas Day with my horrible gasto virus, I decided to give myself another sort of delicious treat and I logged onto Sandy's lovely shop Cookies and Cream Craft and bought myself a copy. Of course I had to get at least one block ready to sew.
I've decided to use these gorgeous grey/taupe fabrics from my Bunny Hill stash (see photo above this one) for this project. The range is Putting on the Ritz.  I might just add a small red check to compliment these fabrics.  This may necessitate a trip to Luccello, one of my favourite places in Melbourne.

I did make a few more pennies last night while stitching along with Cheryll and friends so only 31 more to go.

This was one of my Christmas gifts from John, although I have to admit I chose it.  He did pay for it and wrap it up.

I'm going to use it to make the woven log cabin quilt from this wonderful book.

Here's the LINK if you would like a free copy of the ebook.

Another amazing blog that is new to me

  6. I think crafty people are doomed to be flighty and jump from one project to another.....we always manage to get them done....eventually. The time it takes us depends on what bright and shiny "New" project we see along the way! Yes, I had not seen the pennies before.....looking forward to seeing what you will make with them!

  10. The mice are very cute. Love the quiet fabrics you have lined up. They will look good with the mice. I like to have a few projects that must be finished but the rest are just fun to play with when the mood takes me. I have had fun trying a few new blocks in my 12 days of Christmas table runner. I think I have fallen in love with bears claws. I also love the square in square look. I will be looking at the block tutorial you have included.

Wonder what you'd have got left to his own devices...I wouldn't let my John anywhere near a fabric shop, I've seen his choice in shirts and ties.
