I know I should be finishing up every UFO before I embark on another new project but this is one I just could not resist. As soon as I saw the dear little mouse faces peeping from Michelle's adorable design I knew this was one I would stitch.
So while everyone else was gobbling yummy treats and I was left home alone on Christmas Day with my horrible gasto virus, I decided to give myself another sort of delicious treat and I logged onto Sandy's lovely shop Cookies and Cream Craft and bought myself a copy. Of course I had to get at least one block ready to sew.
Bunny Hill stash (see photo above this one) for this project. The range is Putting on the Ritz. I might just add a small red check to compliment these fabrics. This may necessitate a trip to Luccello, one of my favourite places in Melbourne.
I did make a few more pennies last night while stitching along with Cheryll and friends so only 31 more to go.
This was one of my Christmas gifts from John, although I have to admit I chose it. He did pay for it and wrap it up.
I'm going to use it to make the woven log cabin quilt from this wonderful book.
Here's the LINK if you would like a free copy of the ebook.
ONE to see a brilliant tutorial on how to make this fabulous block. And yes it's free.
