Two parcels arrived just in time...

...to cheer me up.
I've not been well lately and so have had a couple of days stuck in bed, including being too ill to attend my much loved NOTY sit and sew sessions.  So I have been feeling a bit low BUT today two pressies arrived to really cheer me up.
I'm a member of lovely Sue's Quilting Block Swaps Australia.  Sue has a bunch of sweet angels who do all sorts of kind things for members and lovely Maria made me a beautiful churn dash block to add to my latest swap quilt.  Huge thanks to Maria and Sue for this beautiful act of kindness - it means a lot to me.

I am very lucky to have amazing Anne Sutton as one of my bloggy friends.  She is such a kind, compassionate and super talented person, who shares my deep love of animals.  She sent me a copy of her latest BOM just because she thought I would like it.  And I do.  I adore it.  As soon as I finish Raining Cats and Dogs I'm going to start Chick Jubilee.  It is so charming.  So huge thanks to Anne too. If you catch up with her blog and website I'm sure you will be in love with her patterns and fabric too.

I know I say this quite often, but it is very true, so I'll say it again.  I feel so lucky to be part of our wonderful part of blog world..  On occasions I think I could feel quite socially isolated because of my MS and inability to get out of my house when it flares up,  but I never do because I know the most wonderful people are only a mouse click away. So thank you again my wonderful bloggy friends.  You are so important to me. Big, in fact huge, hugs to you all.

FABULOUS FREE STUFF
Here's a fabulous free pattern for those of you who love foundation piecing.
Enormous thanks to Jen at A Quilting Jewel for sharing it with us.  Here's the LINK.

  4. Hope you're feeling a bit better Mel. You'll definitely have to get working on your cats and dogs quilt so you can start that gorgeous new one. What better incentive. We'll have to go fabric shopping as I bet you haven't got just the right colours! Any excuse, right! LOL! Hugs, Christine xx

  19. Sorry to read you have been crook, Mel. You just gotta be well enough to get over here next Monday! At least it's not far to travel, and Christine might have told you that in spite of all the steps to my front door, there is an alternative path with just one step! Hope you have all cylinders firing soon,
    hugs
