I know it's naughty but I just couldn't resist buying a new pattern. There is no excuse for this as I have so many unfinished projects and I may never get around to making it but I couldn't resist.
It's called Summertime Wool Quilt and is designed by Erica Kaprow.
FABULOUS FREE STUFF
My mind seems to be on table runners at the moment, and I think this one is lovely. It would make such a fabulous Christmas gift. Here's the LINK. Made and designed by Monique Dillard of Open Gate Quilts, it is shared on fabulous All People Quilt. Huge thanks to all involved.
I'm off to a lovely NOTYQ sit and sew day today and I know it will be fun. I plan to finally sew on the binding of a quilt I finished last year. If I actually do it, rather than laughing and talking I'll show you tomorrow.
Have a lovely day and enjoy that new pattern, hugs

ReplyDeleteI missed catching up with you at NOTY today. Still sitting with my feet up and missing our Thursday chats. My feet should be much better next week and I can get out some sewing. I haven't managed as much at home as I thought I would. Love that wool quilt pattern!

Just beautiful Melody...hope you enjoyed your stitching day.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely is your new pattern and look at all the opportunities with just using each block seperately!
ReplyDeleteOMG!!!!! I can't believe it! I have been working on an Erica Kabrow wool quilt for the past year! Check my blog as I post about each block when I finish and not too long ago I published all my finished ones as people who were new to my blog asked to see the others. I'm at www.farmgirlsam.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteI love that design you got! Mine was a pattern that was published in a magazine years ago on installments. I love your new pattern....I recognized a few of the elements and went and checked the name and "sure nuff" it was the same designer! I'm so happy she's got patterns out there....I want them all! LOL!
I used felted wool for the background as it was a little less expensive but my applique is all wool that I took from old wool clothes and dyed myself usually to keep costs down.
I'm so excited for you! I love doing the blocks and it's great "handwork" which I love. I can't wait to see you do this....when are you starting? Maybe we could do it together....if I hurry and buy the pattern! LOL! Please document it all here on your blog!
I've got to go Google and see what else she has out there..tee hee!
Wow, that is a stunning pattern. And even if you don't do the whole quilt, though I am sure once you start you won't be able to help yourself, any of those blocks would look fabuolous as a mini or even a cushion.
