When I first started it two years ago as a way of keeping my mind active and fighting against the cognitive problems associated with my multiple sclerosis I never dreamt how important it would become in my life.
Through it I have made wonderful new friends. I feel so lucky to be part of a group of exceptional women - amazing, supportive, kind, creative kindred spirits. It's like being part of a special club, which most non-bloggers don't understand.
It led me to Christine of MacDonald's Patch. It turned out we only lived five minutes apart and she has become a truly valued friend. I wouldn't even think of going to a quilt show without Christine, she makes the places we go together so much fun.
Christine introduced me to the North of the Yarra Quilting Guild. I adore these women and NOTY sit and sew sessions have become one of the highlights of my week.
I've connected with fellow bloggers/quilters from all over the world. I've sent swap parcels to the USA, Canada, New Zealand, Portugal, Iceland, Argentina, France and all over Australia.
And amazingly people have visited my humble little blog over 250,000 times.

ReplyDeleteWow what a brilliant milestone! That number would just blow your mind. I admit I was pretty excited when I hit 1000, (ok kinda shocked too). But there is no surprise to see 250k on yours, your 'little' blog is such a lovely place to visit. And clearly there are many, many of us who think so :)
