We had THE BEST TIME.
Yesterday I got together with some bloggy friends at Mill Rose Quilts in Ballan.
We lunched next door at The Mill Cottage restaurant, then back for more fabric shopping, then back to the restaurant for afternoon tea. We talked and laughed and shopped and talked and ate and laughed and talked some more. We shared show and tell and we got to meet our darling Shez.
It was such a wonderful day. Here's Shez with a swap gift from lovely Barb.
I'd not been to this gorgeous store before and I immediately fell in love. There is a huge range of fabric including a great range of Liberty fabrics, some sweet Tilda fabrics and trims, Quilted Crow wools, reproductions, moderns - in fact something for every taste. There were great threads, trims and gifts . Michelle and the other staff were charming and really helpful.
The food in the restaurant was lovely too. We were all so excited to meet that I don't think anyone remembered to take photos of the food. But rest assured it was delicious and eagerly consumed.
Here are my purchases, all to add to works in progress (except the cute pincushion pattern which I just couldn't resist)
Shez very kindly made us all a gift and I received this darling Tilda brooch. I just love it, many many thanks to Shez.
It was fabulous to meet Shez, Sharon and Barb for the first time and Christine is always delightful. What a wonderful group of women. Bloggy friends are so much fun.
ANOTHER MILLROSIE BLOGGY GET TOGETHER.
We all had such a great time we have decided to have another bloggy meet at the same venue. Please mark
Saturday November 17 at 10.00am
in your diary and join us for a wonderful day. This time we are having a Sit and Sew day and wonderful Michelle from Mill Rose Quilts is letting us use her delightful sewing room for free. How fabulous is that. We are having a small swap on the day so let me know if you would like to join in this bit of fun - you don't have to play if you don't want to - this will only be a very small part of the fun day.
We will lunch next door at the delightful Mill Cottage restaurant again.
Everyone is very welcome, you don't need to have a blog to come along - bloggy readers are very welcome too. I'll post more about this day as we get closer.
FABULOUS FREE STUFF
