Tueday Treasures

When I was a very little girl my parents bought me a set of the Arthur Mee Children's Encyclopaedia.  I poured over these volumes for countless hours as I was a voracious reader.  I loved the whimsical illustrations in the poetry sections

 and particularly enjoyed science sections.

They've been on my book shelves for many many years and I must confess I hadn't looked at them for a very long time.   Recently I had a huge rearrange of my books and stopped to flick through these volumes.  They had me engrossed all afternoon , so many memories came flooding back.

So these dear memory-filled books are my Tuesday Treasures this week.  If you have something that you treasure please pop your details into Mr Linky and play along.

"There was a crooked man who walked a crooked mile..." I have a copy still, somewhere
