Tuesday Treasures

Today's Treasure is  Ambulance Victoria

who came to my dad's aid, so promptly, when he almost severed his ear from his head.  He slid on the wet bathroom floor and fell against the vanity unit.  My mum heard a very loud bang and ran to investigate.  There was a sharp edge where the laminate edges met and it had cleanly sliced my father's ear leaving it dangling from his head.  Apparently there was lots and lots and lots of blood.

He was taken to Frankston Hospital and they were fantastic.  They looked after him really well and almost 40 stitches later he is home safe and sound.
Do you have something you treasure to share with us today.  It can be a person, a group, a thing, a pet, a possession, a feeling or idea.  Anything you want really.  Just pop your details into Mr Linky and play along.

  4. We have had the Tas ambulance service to my eldest daughter literally hundreds of times due to a medical condition she has had from birth - not once have they let us down with response times - and each and every one of those Paramedics and Volunteers are the most amazing people....so I'm with you Melody - they are my Tuesday Treasure also. I hope your Dad recovers very quickly!!

  12. OW! Your poor Dad and your poor Mum what a shock for her too. Our Ambos are real treasures for sure and so understaffed. My Dad was in the ambulance in rural Queensland so they are close to my heart. Wonderful choice. I wish your Dad and his poor ear a very speedy recovery.

  18. OMG Melody you wouldn't think there was anything in a bathroom that would cause that much damage!! Your poor Dad, and your poor Mum I sometimes think it's worse for the person doing the looking after (and I am not good with blood!) Give them both a big hug (though not too close to your Dad's ear)!!!!! Hugs xx
