Eddi Reader, and her oh so talented band, played at St Mary of the Angels Basilica in Geelong.
It was an enchanting night. Eddi captivated me and I was in the palm of her hand the whole evening. I even shed a quiet tear, I was so moved by the beauty of her voice. I love this feeling, I love being swept up by a great performer.

Oh Melody - I know this church - it really is lovely - and a wonderful place for a concert. It must have sounded fantastic :)I went to some very good friend's wedding there many years ago: A marriage between a Scot and a Pole(Polish?). The bride was piped in. At the reception we danced to an assortment of Scottish reels and Polish folk songs played on bagpipes, fiddles and accordians! Such Fun!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful Mel to feel like that,it must've been amazing.Congrats to Sunny on her lovely win.xx
ReplyDeleteThe musical talent of same people can be breath taking. Sometimes it can reach right in to the soul of us and stir all kinds of emotions. I agree, it is an uplifting feeling, one we don't get enough of. Great treasure. Tracee xx

I would dearly love to go see Celtic Women perform - I know I would disgrace myself and cry, lol, but it would be worth it! I too love live music. Congrats to your winner!
ReplyDeleteA performance like that can certainly take your breath away. When our kids used to play in the school band I really looked forward to their end of year performances. The passion and talent of all the kids in the band was amazing and the pieces they played were just spectacular. The music just went right through you and you couldn't help but tap along with your foot while being completely enthralled. Cheers, Tracy
ReplyDeleteWhat a magical experience that must have been and in that gorgeous church as well. Sounds like a fantastic night. Thanks Melody x
