One of my favourite things is going out for breakfast, especially with John and especially on a Sunday morning.
A new cafe opened just up the road from us and so on Sunday morning we went to Tancks Corner at 461 Ironbark Road Yarrambat. (94361700).
I had mushrooms flavoured with thyme and served with a soft creamy feta and a poached egg on sour dough toast. Accompanied by a pot of lovely hot tea, it was the most delicious breakfast dish I've had in quite a while.

I treasure these leisurely starts to the day. Breakfast is generally an inexpensive meal, the air is crisp and fresh, I'm really hungry so everything tastes extra good and I start the day feeling goodwill towards the whole world.

The girls at work try to get together for regular breakfasts. They are on a morning before work but that 90 minutes is a great start to the day. The last time we went I had the mushroom plate with fetta too - yummo. Of course, nothing beats a leisurely Sunday brekkie. Lovely giveaways. Tracee xx

ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful way to spend a Sunday morning. Can we swap?
ReplyDeleteMy Sunday usually involves a pre-dawn start with cartoons blaring on the television, kids playing and fighting and then playing and then fighting some more. Cheerios or eggs (if I'm feeling kind) and sometimes, we even manage to get to church.
A lovely way to start the day and the food sounds yummy. I love Michelle's designs ,thanks for the chance .
