500 Posts - Hooray!

This is my 500th post.  
I'm pretty impressed with this milestone so I want to celebrate with a giveaway.  Please leave me a comment and you will go into a draw to win a $25 gift voucher from Jane's fabulous on-line shop, Want It, Need It,  Quilt.  If you are a follower please let me know and you will get a second entry.  Spread the word and let me know and get a third. I'll get a random number generator to draw the winner next Tuesday evening.

Today I want to share the presents I received from amazing Lindi as part of the Scquilter's Christmas Stocking Swap.  Some of you may remember the beautiful bag she made me when this swap began earlier this year.

By the end of the year it was brimming with goodies.  What made this extra special is that Lindi managed to organise this whilst suffering the most terrible illness, Churg Strauss Syndrome.  She is such an inspiring person - please pop over and send her your good wishes for a speedy recovery.  Her blog is Quilty Threads.  Here are some of the goodies I received.
It seems Christmas will never end as the postie arrived today with these wonderful gifts from Shell, Fiona, Rosie and Karen.  You are so kind, many many thanks.

Another project for next year is Anne Sutton's Raining Cats and Dogs.  Anne is the very clever lady behind Bunny Hill and I love her designs.  I will be keeping this gorgeous BOM in my lovely bag from Lindi.

    I'll be working on some projects by Bunny Hill Designs this year too...I luv Anne's work and I must admit I have a huge collection of her patterns. Best of all...I had the opportunity to meet her at Spring Market 2011...she is an amazing women...the sweetest!! I luv to embroider and she was still working on her Raining Cats and Dogs BOM at market and she asked me if I would stitch the embroidery on the blocks...yes oh yes...of course!! I was stitching for awhile in her booth as it was being set up and then I took them back to my hotel room and stitched that evening and....now my name is printed on the back of the pattern. This fall she phoned me...pinch me again...and asked me if I would do some redwork stitching. She was making Raining Cats and Dogs into a redwork pattern, of course...pinch me again... In December, she showed sneak peaks of the blocks on her blog, blocks I had stitched and linked to my blog....thanks to Anne I got a lot of new followers. I stitched the top half of the quilt and the rest of the stitching was done by Anne herself and another friend of her's also named Anne. It is now finished, pictured on her blog and the pattern is for sale. On January 5th she is having her semi annual sale offering 25% off everything on her website except the 'Pumpkin Pie' quilt kit. If you subscribe to her newsletter, she publishes it on the 5th of every month, there will be a coupon code that you will have to use...my list is ready to order when the newsletter comes out.
