What I've been making.

I can't show most of what I've been making the the last few days because it is for swaps but I did make three more of my little handmade felt brooches and two more scissor fobs.

I recently purchased the Thimble Blossoms pattern, Swoon. I bought it as a downloadable PDF which is wonderful as I received it straight away.  Then I ordered a fabric bundle from The Fat Quarter shop.
I actually gasped out loud when I opened the parcel, which the postie delivered this morning.
The fabric is amazing and wonderful and even better than I imagined.  It is Sherri McConnell's Blogger's Choice Fat Quarter Bundle.

I've purchased this lovely bundle before (and used it all up) - but there it was sitting on special - $16.50 for 10 fat quarters of Espresso Swiss Chocolate by Amanda Murphy for Kaufman fabrics.  It just jumped into my cart. I plan to use it for some presents.

I've got to make myself be sensible and not start Swoon until I've completed everything on my September White Rabbits list.  Those little White Rabbits are sitting there on my side bar reminding me to be good.
Here's the code if you want them to keep you in line too.

  1. Love your felted brooches!! And great purchases too - your swoon will look awesome in that fabric. Its a good idea to use the tab buttons for de-cluttering your main page - something I was thinking I should do - your new look is nice and fresh.

  6. I love the fresh new look of your blog, I am going to update mine soon for Spring, just perusing backgrounds. I too purchased the summer house Fat quarters and this is the basis of my FWQA blocks, with some of my own stash in for good measure. They are so vibrant and fresh. I have ordered more of the solid green for the cornerstones. The brooches are adorable too - will be lovely little Christmas gifts.
