Something very exciting...and a Giveaway to celebrate

I've only just realized that I have been blogging for just over a year and this is my 400th post.  In that time there have been 53,102 page views which is pretty amazing. My first post was on 15th August 2010.

When I tentatively posted my first blogging words I never dreamed how important this blog would become to me. I'd recently been forced to give up work due to my ill health and was feeling a bit cut off from the world.

On my 4th post I enabled the comments function and was immediately made to feel so welcome.
The first people to leave me comments were Clare, Marina, Janice, Sheila, Fiona, Karen and Robyn and I'm so happy to say we still visit each others blogs and I regard each one as a dear blogging friend.  As time went by I came to (virtually) meet so many more wonderful fellow bloggers and make so many new blogging friends. You are all very important to me.

I don't want this blog to be about my Multiple Sclerosis but it does impact hugely on my life and I'm often house-bound for weeks at a time.  Although I have a wonderful supportive family and fabulous friends I still spend quite a bit of time alone and in pain.  There are two things that make everything so much more bearable and they are my darling, loving little dogs and you my fabulous, wonderful blogging friends.

      Hi Melody. Congratulations on the success of your blog and yes, I am a follower! I didn't know you had MS when I signed on, but I would like you to know that the local MS chapter here in Kamloops, B.C. Canada, is my charity of choice. I raise funds throughout the year through Info Sheets at the local quilt shop, and then donate the money to the local Chapter each year in September when I complete the local MS Bike Tour. I know that together we will find a cure. Happy Quilting!!!!
