A couple parcels I sent out recently have arrived by now so I can show you a bit of the sewing I've been doing lately.
This block was for lovely Billy as part of Quilting Block Swaps Australia, organised by wonderful Sue of Quilted Hugs. Billy asked for a Kansas Dug Out block in pink and green. I couldn't resist adding a little bit of stitching. Billy sent me a wonderful owl block which I shared here.
Sue asked me if I could do a second swap this month for a new swapper, Beatrice in France. You must check out her very beautiful blog - A Needle in a Haystack. It was a joy to be her first partner in this swap. She asked for a strings block in neutral to tan tones and so I was able to include some of my favorite Bunny Hill fabrics.
Lovely Fiona of BubzRugz was my swap partner in the Once a Season Swap and I know this has safely arrived at her place, I designed this candle mat especially for my dear bloggy friend. Thanks to Cheryll from Stitchin Cubby Hole for organising this fun swap four times a year. I love being part of our special little piece of blog-would.
Beautiful work, Melody. The stitcheries in the blocks of the Kansas dug out really set it off so well. Sandy. :)
