Teddy Bears Picnic... including a Give-a-Way

This is the first bear I ever made, she is called Baby Bear and lives in the sewing basket I had as a child. She will certainly be at today's inside picnic as there is going to be hot chocolate and caramel slice.
Share a Bear or Softie
Do you have a bear, a dolly or a softie to bring on the picnic today.  Please pop your details into Mr Linky and join in the fun.

Fabulous Free Things
Because its so cold here in Melbourne it will have to be an inside picnic today. And an inside picnic is pretty close to a tea party so I looked for beautiful Tea Party themed free patterns.
I found a fabulous tutorial here at Wild Olive.  Thank you so much to Mollie for this mug rug pattern and also for also this brilliant embroidery design.

I thought this lovely cottage tea cosy was pretty special and the pattern is at Craftbits
and this more exotic example caught my fancy too.  You can find the pattern at Creative Knitting.
 and

I love the fancy cupcake wrappers which are around these days.  Fabulous Tipnut has heaps of ideas for making your own, which is so much cheaper - and more fun.

When ever I think of parties I pop over to Save the Date for Cupcakes.  Desert tables made in heaven.
And I don't think you can go past lovely Lorraine at Not Quite Nigella for amazing recipes.

Can You Help?

If you are an animal lover please consider supporting the Free The Bears Fund. I do and it makes me feel good to know that I am helping to give the bears in various sanctuaries around the world a safe, peaceful and happy existence.
