Tuesday Treasures
This week I though I'd show you Drusilla - Adrienne, Sam, Wil and Henry's cat. I suppose it makes me the cat's granny. This got me thinking about phrases such as 'the cat's mother 'and 'mums the word'. I thought I'd Google 'the origin of sayings' and I found this entertaining site at The Bizarre History of 10 Common Sayings
Anyway back to Dru. I spent a lovely day yesterday looking after Henry and while he was asleep I lounged in front of the fire with little Dru. A warm fire and a purring kitty cat. Bliss. Little Henry was a treasure too.
Do you have a treasure to share with us. It can be a thing, a person, a pet, an event, a feeling or an idea. Just pop your details into Mr Linky and share your wonderfulness with us all.

Good Morning, Mel. I'm here and I'm first! Yeah! *grin* Love the photo of kitty. Yes, it's such a cosy house with a fire and our beloved felines lounging in front of them. *grin* Have a wonderful Tuesday, Mel. Sandy

Drusilla is beautiful and I love her name. A warm fire, a sleeping baby and a purring cat would be BLISS indeed...a real treasure.I love that your the pussycats Nanna!
ReplyDeleteIt's been so many weeks since I've done this! Now I have to think of a treasure. Is that because there is too many or not enough? Thanks Melody for organising this. Cheers
ReplyDeleteDrusilla brings back memories of a little white cat I had many years ago Melody, her name was Duchess.I'm sure you had a lovely day minding Henry, and sitting by an open fire must have been blissful on such a cold bleak day. Hope to see you tomorrow, Love R.

I think you could say that Drusilla is "the cat's whiskers". Happy Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteDru is a sweetie! There is nothing better than a purring kitty on your lap - or your neck, lol, which is where my kitty likes to hang out in winter!
ReplyDeleteDru looks very comfortable... I think she enjoyed sitting with you in front of the fire... how lovely to spend the afternoon with Henry... and Dru...
