Tuesday Treasures

Today I would like to celebrate the honey bee.  Many of our plants and crops couldn't survive without their pollination.  I absolutely adore the taste of honey and I've stitched lots of projects including stitched bees.  There are a couple of bee themed stitcheries on my wall of samplers

and bees and their hives are also part of some unfinished projects
So today my Tuesday Treasures are the bees who populate my garden.
Do you have a treasure to share with us today.  It can be a thing, a person, an animal, an idea.  Anything you want.  Please pop your details into Mr Linky and join in the fun.

PS The fabulous poodle fabric in my last post came from Gail B's.  This amazing shop has over 10,000 bolts of fabric and I always find them really friendly and really helpful.  They do post interstate.

  5. I agree Melody our bees are so important for our lovely flowers but also for the food we eat and they share their lovely honey with us so you'd think we could repay them by looking after the environments where they thrive. Your samplers are just gorgeous Melody and I love your sampler wall. One of my very favourite books is 'The secret life of Bees" by Sue Monk Kidd so I share your love of bees. Thanks for such a lovely post.

  6. I think I have commented before on your cross stitch Melody - I have one the same... Lol - yours looks way advanced of mine - it is still a pattern with no material or thread... I think it was one of the first patterns I fell in love with... Now after seeing yours I must go find it and put it on my 'to(ever increasing)do' pile...

    take care now

  10. Well I don't love bees - I APPRECIATE bees and what they do, and how vital they are - but I don't love them. I would love them if they didn't want to hurt me! Love your samplers, Melody.

  13. Hello Melody,

Just love all your samplers. Bees are indeed very important in our lives. We have lots in our garden. Even had some decided to call it home. Unfortunatly we had to call in a beekeeper to collect them. Our son is very allergic to them.
Happy days and thanks for that stunning photo of your wall of samplers.
