Prize No 2 is for this absolutely beautiful stitchery pattern. All you need to do is leave a comment and you will be in the draw. If you come on the picnic and leave a comment you will be in both draws.
Michelle's great blog is Rag Tag Stitchin so why not pop over and take a look and say thanks for the great prizes she has donated.

Share a Bear or a Softie
Now is the time to load our goodies into our backpacks and set off on a hike. I think we should all have some extra exercise before we gobble all the tasty treats that are so much fun to eat in the fresh air. I'll be bringing along a particularly yummy treat, this wicked new slice from Peg. I absolutely love Malteasers so this slice is perfect for me.I'm bringing Amelia this week. I originally designed her for Handmade magazine about 20 years ago, which is fairly old in teddy years. I designed her to be very economical to make, only needing a little bit of mohair for her face and paws. She's waiting in the garden but usually she lives on my family room wall.
Who are you bringing this week? Don't forget everyone is welcome here, not just teddies, but softies too. Just pop your details into Mr Linky so we can all take a look.
Fabulous Free Patterns
This week I thought I'd continue on my quest to get organised for Easter so here are some cute chicken patterns. I stretched the boundaries and included some other birds too. Thank you so much to the generous and creative people on our little bit of blog land, who share so readily.Thank you to so talented Jodie at Ric-Rac for her wonderful Little Birds. She has heaps of other great patterns she so kindly shares
A delightful knitted Easter chick (containing a creme egg) cleverly designed by Anjie Davison and shared on PomPom EmporiumLarissa from Just Another Day in Paradise designed this gorgeous set of farm puppets which includes a chicken and a duck. Both would be fabulous gifts with an Easter egg hidden inside. You can get the pattern here. Even if you are not interested in this pattern, do check out her charming blog.
I know these have been around for a long time but I do love these little log cabin chicken pin cushions. Quilting works have a free pattern to share.
Can You Help?
If you are an animal lover please consider supporting the Free The Bears Fund. I do and it makes me feel good to know that I am helping to give the bears in various sanctuaries around the world a safe, peaceful and happy existence. This is what I'm giving as Easter gifts this year, lovely mugs that I will fill with delicious yummy chocolate eggs. I plan to pop in one of Jodie's cute Little Birds too.
