I haven't done this in the past but I called in to one of my very favourite shops on Wednesday to buy a couple of little gifts for a friend's twin granddaughters. The shop is called Sparkle T and it is in Rosanna in the north of Melbourne. It is full of the cutest bits and pieces you could ever dream of finding and I could not resist buying some sweet little decorations.
Everything is really affordable. For example the adorable little painted eggs were 50c each and the darling bird houses $3.
Could you resist these cuties? They even came filled with delicious chocolate eggs, all for a few dollars each.
I plan to stitch some cute little felt additions in the week or so up to Easter. I was inspired by this amazing blog - Creative Breathing.
Two free patterns I particularly love are Cottontail Ornament
and the Easter Penny Rug.
My plan is to make a swag of pink gingham suffolk puffs and dangle Easter decorations, one from each puff.
I also spent some time getting ready for tonight's Friday Night Sew In with Heidi at Handmade by Heidi. Why not sign up too, it's always lots of fun and there are great prizes to win. I was Number 117 when I signed up and I love the feeling that I am part of this large happy group who sign up to sew together for an evening.
I'm off to spend the day with my two wonderful friends, Andrea and Rachelle in Healesville. I can't wait to play with Rachelle's three adorable little donkeys again,
and see how much Andrea's darling granddaughters have grown.
One final little picture today. A beautiful vintage picture of a gorgeous hydrangea for Bronwyn's Floral Friday. The image came from another one of my very favourite blogs - The Graphics Fairy
Melody
