Here are four more for my Confetti quilt
and, lucky me, I received two from Inchy Hexie Flower Swappers. The gorgeous one on the left is from Elizabeth, who loves angels. We are both in fantastic Jane's swap (Want It Need It Quilt) and we are in the same quilting group and get together each Wednesday, with the other Village Quilters, to sew, chat and have fun.
The beautiful one on the right came from Lene in Denmark. They are both really lovely and I feel so lucky to receive them. Thank you Elizabeth and Lene
I received an email from Alethea letting me know that this block I made as part of Quilting Block Swaps Australia had arrived and I was very happy to hear she liked it. Sue from Quilted Hugs kindly organises this for us.
And I received a lovely card from Carol thanking me for the pink parcel I sent her. I made a mug rug and mug bag and filled it with some goodies including chocolate and sweeties. Thanks to Maree from On my Veranda for all her hard work organising this swap.
I love this little mug bag pattern which came with a wonderful tutorial. So many thanks to Tracy at The Mad Quilter
I'll be back tomorrow for the Teddy Bears Picnic.
PS Huge thanks to Karen at Journey of a Quilter for hosting One Flower Wednesday each week. She's wonderful. Please go over and take a look.
I am in awe of those hexies for the confetti quilt.

ReplyDeleteMore beautiful hexie flowers Melody.
ReplyDeleteWhat are you going to do with all your leftover fabric? There must be a stack, or are you able to get a lot of different motifs from each piece?
Just love your hexies. the ones you received are great too, Love the wee angel stitchery.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful Mug Bag. I just love mine and will pop it in my sewing basket to use everywhere.
I've seen alot of hexies in blog land recently, but yours are the most original I have come across. I love them! They remind me of the stack & whacks everyone was doing. My wheels are turning wondering if I can apply the same idea to other blocks. Perhaps a Fan block? On the lookout for appropriate fabrics.
