Tuesday's Treasures

I spent yesterday with Dr Who! Well actually it was my grandson Wil but he does plan to be the 13th Doctor when he grows up.  We are up to number 11 now
Wil absolutely adores Dr Who and so I decided to have Wil and his hero as this week's Tuesday Treasures.  He has a large collection of Dr Who items including a sonic screwdriver, the Tardis and a complete set of the Doctors in miniature.  He also has books, games, dvds and posters.  It certainly makes shopping for presents for Wil really easy, as anything with the Doctor will be treasured.
I loved Dr Who myself as a child.  The whole family gathered together to watch it once a week.  I was often in my dressing gown and PJs.  I remember this clearly as I took off my dressing gown and hid under it, surreptitiously peeping out to watch the daleks but fearful that they could somehow see me.

A couple of years ago an episode of Dr Who called 'Blink" was screened and I still think it is one of the scariest things I've ever seen.
Wil's favourite is the current doctor, Matt Smith.  I'm a bit of a David Tennant fan myself.  Who is your favourite Doctor?

Tuesday Treasures gives you the chance to share something that is important to you.  As always there will be a small giveaway for one of the participants.

  1. David Tennant for me too (and my two children) they still bemoan the fact that he is no longer The Dr.

Your grandson has quite an impressive collection there - it must make gift buying a real pleasure. He looks like he would make a great Dr.

  4. How cute.
I only watched Dr who occasionally when I was a teen so it's the old Dr Who for me, Tom Baker. I am more of a Star Trek fan. They are re running them on one of the digital channels I love them!

  5. What a delightful treasure - your Grandson. We must have been thinking along the same lines with family :-)
I'm sorry i can't comment on Dr. Who, I never liked it. An episode once scared me witless when I was a child and I have never watched it since :-(
My daughter on the other hand loves it and her favourite is David Tennant.

  6. Hello Melody,

Oh we are big Dr Who fans too. Did you see the Dr Who Proms on tv a few weeks back. That was great. Those statues used to scare us. David was a bit of a good looking Doctor.
    Happy days.

  8. Hi Melody, your Grandson looks fantastic! We are big Dr Who fans too. Tom Baker would be my favourite Dr Who followed by Christopher Eccleston and then Matt Smith. David Tennant lost me when he started to get sooky *smile*. The weeping angels didn't bother me but scared the willies out of Miss Twenty *grin*. toni xxx

  9. I'm sorry to say I've never seen this - I know there's a late night talk show host here who has a dalek on his stage set, but that's ALL I know about it, lol! Wil is very handsome!

  12. I just love the new Dr Who and Amy Pond. The episodes in which she was introduced were so beautifully written as are so many of the episodes. I could watch them over and over again.
