One Flower Wednesday

This week's little hexie is one of the last half dozen I'll be making in this beautiful range of fabric as my fat quarter pack is running out. I'm planning to make these flowers, with the garden-themed stitched centres, into a table runner using Allie's beautiful bird stitchery in the middle.

I've enjoyed sewing the centres so much that I intend to continue doing this with really fun little doodles from Fonts for Peas and another fat quarter pack.   I've got some animal fabrics from Michael Miller fabrics which are so cute and I will start a child's hexie cot quilt.
I've also got the pattern Confetti by Irene Blanck.  I was planning on using Park Avenue (I know I'm getting this range in fat quarters for Christmas) but now I may change my mind and do it in 1800 reproduction fabrics (I've only got a few of these)
So many people are announcing BOMs on their blocks next year.  I want to join in lots of this fun and of course my free BOM will appear each month from February 3rd onwards.  It is called Home Sweet Home and will be a wool/felt quilt with a folk art feel.  I'm hoping lots of people will take part in this project.  2011 is going to be very busy!

  1. Your hexie is beautiful and I love the little stitchery.

Your free BOM sounds quite intriguing. Could you suggest the best place to purchase small amounts of wool/felt.
