Finally Finished

I started this quilt about ten years ago. For some reason I packed it away and forgot all about it.
In January, I decided this was going to be the year I tackled the multitude of half finished projects I had stashed away all over the house. I had a day exploring all the forgotten spaces and unearthed this project at the bottom of a basket of fabric on top of a bookcase.
I really enjoyed sewing the felt. So soft to handle and so forgiving of any uneven stitching.
My lovely friend, Leanne Kaufman of Leanne's Quilting quilted it. She hadn't quilted felt before and she was not sure how it would turn out. She thought the quilting would either disappear into the felt or it would be fabulous.
We both felt it turned out to be fabulous. (If you click on the picture you will get a bigger version where you will be able to see her wonderful quilting in more detail).
I love how it turned out, so I am starting another felt quilt, this time my own design, which will be a free BOM on my blog next year.
