Tuesday's Treasures

On Sunday, John and I took a trip to Ackland Street St Kilda for afternoon tea.  For those of you who don't know Melbourne, Ackland Street is renown for it's cake shops.  As anyone who knows me can testify I love cake...
...adore cake...

,,,could live on cake.

  9. What beautiful displays. Yum. Remember the days when a whole cake was $5. I paid $3.50 yesterday for a vanilla slice!

    We went to St Kilda when we visited our daughter a couple of years ago.We had breakfast on the beach,it was like paradise ,beautiful place.
    She diddnt take me to that gorgeous cake shop though.
    I will make sure Nicky and Tony take us there next time We go to Australia.

  18. Those photos brought back memories for me, Melody! Ken and I lived in Mitford Street St Kilda before we were married, and we would often stroll down Acland Street (around the corner) on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon, and indulge ourselves in cake and coffee! Haven't been back there for 30+ years, so it's nice to know those shops are still there ;-)
