A class with Claire + Famous Henry

We are very lucky at my local quilt guild (NOTYQ) to have super talented designer, Claire Gee of Matching Pegs, among our members.
I was really thrilled when I saw Claire's name among the tutors at The Quilt Shop in Eltham.  So I quickly enrolled in her 3 session needle turn class.  We started off with a practice shape to teach us concave and convex curves, boxed ends and points.  I thought the shape looked a lot like a quirky little bird so that's what he became.
While I was there I felt very inspired by Claire and wanted to do more so I bought this sweet little pincushion kit so I could practice during the week.
Next week we start on this gorgeous Matching Pegs cushion and I can't wait.
I enjoyed Claire's class immensely, learned heaps and can't wait to start the lovely cushion.  I'm making mine on a grey background with red and blue French General fabrics.  Lots of fun.
Our little Henry was on the front cover of the local paper, which is so exciting.

I adore this Sweetheart Table Topper from fabulous Jaybird Quilts.  Please follow this LINK.  Enormous thanks to Julie for sharing it with us.

Have a wonderful day
Love
