Little Essie

Sorry this post is late today but our dear little dog Essie is very ill.  Our little dogs are family to us, so caring for Essie had to come before anything else. Essie has cancer and since she is an elderly dog we decided to opt for palliative care only rather than anything invasive.  She was a rescue dog and is the sweetest little girl imaginable. She has brought so much love into our lives.

If you feel like stitching along with your friends in blogworld you can sign up for
with lovely Cheryll at Gone Stitching.
Jenny at Elefantz is one of my favourite people in not just blogworld but in the whole world.  Sweet, generous and very very kind she is also oh so talented.  And the most wonderful thing she is so happy to share her talents with us.  Knowing that not everyone has bags of money to spend on their hobbies her patterns are always affordable and many are shared for free.  Just like this beautiful design.

Please follow this LINK and check out her Craftsy store HERE too.

Hope you have time for some stitching today
Love

  1. Sorry to hear about your pup. We did that with our last dog, he was sick and not doing well, so we kept him comfortable, sometimes too much care is more stress for them.

  6. Sorry to read about your little one. She looks so sweet. We have an elderly cat with medical issues as well. We feel the same way, it is about quality of life over quantity. I will keep you in my prayers as I know this is hard to deal with .

  8. Many angel hugs to you and your sweet gorgeous dog. I understand what you are saying about palliative care as I have had 2 cats pass over with cancer. Your choice is the best for your pup. Sad but the kindest thing. It is always sooooo hard.

  12. So sorry about your little dog. Are they giving her pain meds? Animals are so stoic...you would never know they were in pain until it was really bad. Maybe that's what pallative care is? I always worry about those who can't speak for themselves. Bless her and I pray she goes peacefully when the time comes.
