Falling in love with Melba

On Saturday afternoon John drove me over to the Cranbourne Botanic Gardens and we had a brilliant time.

I was a bit shaky on my feet but that didn't stop me (and John too) having a bit of a paddle in one of the water features.
Naughty?
Not us.  Paddling is allowed.
We were there for the Australian Textile Exhibition and it was fabulous.
We often visit these gardens and I love this little huddle of trees.  They looked extra beautiful in their fabric shawls.

It was love at first sight when I saw Leesa Chandler's new fabric range - Melba. I just have to make a quilt using the grey colourway.  Not sure what it will be yet but I feel like I cannot live without it in my life.

There were so many amazing quilts on show I will blog about the exhibition again tomorrow.
I love this Strawberry Zipper Pouch which is featured in a fabulous tutorial HERE.
Many, many thanks to amazing Amanda at Jedi Craft Girl for very generously sharing it with us.

Have a fabulous day
Love
