And so it begins...

The Splendid Sampler adventure started yesterday.  It is amazing to think that 17,000 people, all linked by the internet, are sewing along with our own dear Jane Davidson and fabulous Pat Sloan.
I decided to make my blocks with my gorgeous Tilda stash.  I''ll be adding a couple more fat quarters to this stash each time I visit my local LQS, The Quilt Shop in Eltham.  In fact I was there yesterday with these lovely ladies.
I used the opportunity to blanket stitch around the block in the centre.  I don't plan to make every block, and I certainly don't plan to stress about keeping up.  So maybe I'll be making a bed quilt, maybe a wall hanging  or even a lap quilt.  I might put a medallion in the middle...who knows...I'll just let the journey take me wherever my whims take me...should be heaps of fun.

I feel very lucky to have Christine as my dear friend.  She gave me this divine standard rose as a birthday gift yesterday, while we at the shop in Eltham.
This is the beautiful Tilda fabric I added to my stash yesterday.
I feel so lucky to have this beautiful shop five minutes from home.

Could you imagine a more beautiful spot for husbands or friends to wait while you shop?  It comes complete with a big stack of magazines too.

Here is a LINK to these really lovely floor cushions.

Many many thanks to Sew Home and Style for sharing the pattern with us.

Hope you have a wonderful day
Love
