Getting ready for Summer School

Tomorrow I'm off to Mrs Martin's Summer School.
Everything Karen organises is fun filled, fabulously organised and great value for money.  The designers and teachers are Lou and Lisa from Max and Louise pattern company and the projects they have planned for us are brilliant.  Their patterns have multiple projects.  There are three patterns and we can have two included in the cost but I plan to buy the third one too as they are all irresistible.  So we get so much value for our money.

Fabulous Barb Smith will be there with her gorgeous buttons.  As will many of my dear blogging and facebook friends - I am so excited.

We are so lucky that many super talented designers live in Melbourne and run brilliant workshops and sewing days. This year I'm attending classes with Rosalie (Quinlan) Dekker, Gail Pan, Ramona Herman, Di Ford, Lisa Cantel, Barb Smith (Theodora Cleave) and of course Lou and Lisa...and that is just in the first few months of the year - no wonder I feel so lucky.

I'm planning on making this table runner on the day.

You can find fabulous free patterns in the most unlikely places.  This one comes from Hewlett Packard and the site is a great discovery.  Just follow this LINK.  Many thanks to Chelsea Andrews for designing it for us.  The site is HP Create, have a good look around, there are heaps of great ideas and projects.
Hope you are having a great day
Love
