A lovely surprise...

...was waiting for me when I arrived home on Monday.  Oh how I love a present out of the blue, it made my day complete.  Huge thanks to sweet Bev, such a kind thing to do and I love the embroidery you chose, Bev.  A girl and her dog - what could be better.  It's going straight on my sewing room door.
Christine and I had lots of fun at Spotlight, Gail B's and MacDonalds where hot chocolate and raspberry macarons were the order of the day.
Here's Christine checking out some of the fat quarters at Gail's.
I thought this Faux Cathedral Windows Pin Cushion was really lovely.  There is a very comprehensive tutorial over at fabulous Diary of a Quilt Maven.  Here's the LINK.
Many many thanks to Monica for sharing.
