My MS is being really evil lately and so I'm stuck in bed most of the time as walking is quite difficult due to my balance and pain issues. However, even though this is quite annoying, there is an up-side. I'm getting lots and lots of sewing done.
I'm also really lucky as this is the view from my bedroom window. I'm up in the tree tops and lots of birds come to visit.
Even though I'm right in the middle of suburbia, I can't see another house from up here, just lots of beautiful foliage. I've also got my gorgeous little dogs for companionship, so no-one needs to feel sorry for me - I'm very content.
Here's a couple more wooly pin cushions I made for the present basket. Just need to get John to visit the reptile pet shop to get me more crushed walnut shells and I'll be able to finish them off. The main fabric on the one above is from a beautiful 100% wool cot blanket I bought at Savers for only $3.99. A super bargain. I've put some in each of the gift packs I'm sending to the people stitching along with me as I make Summertime.
My maiden name was Argyle so my eyes always light up when I see Argyle in a project title. So with Valentines Day only a few weeks away I thought I'd share the LINK to this gorgeous wreath
at Kara's fabulous blog Mine for the Making. Big thanks Kara.
Rest well Melody, That is a superb view from your bedroom, Your stitchery is exquisite, and the Spotlight wool, a fabulous bargain. Thanks for the lovely link.

Why crushed walnut shells I have to ask!!
Fantastic view... so if you have to be in bed... it seems like a nice place to be.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry you're not feeling well. I have 2 chronic diseases (RA and Graves disease) but I do really well most of the time but the only thing with chronic diseases is that people don't understand about good days and bad days or the expensive meds or that sometimes you just don't feel like attending or doing or helping. I finally learned that I need to take care of myself and now that I'm alone and the kids are all raised and I'm retired, I can finally do it! LOL! And how much healthier I am, getting the proper rest, eating healthy, walking and not pushing myself to "do it all". So, please take care of yourself and it sounds like you are. What a great view! It looks like you are in a tree house with the foliage and the gorgeous birds.
ReplyDeleteLove the wool pincushions and I never knew about crushed walnuts being a good filler or that you could get them at a reptile shop. Thank you! In Arkansas, U.S. all our reptiles run free, unfortunately! LOL!
Thanks for the free pattern as usual...that is a really cute wreath for V-Day. I wish I had all day to play but I still need to cook and clean and now I'm off to make some scones so I have a sweet treat with tea tonight! Toodles!
