More quilts...

...from the Nunawading Show.

No wonder we loved it and this is just the tip of the iceberg.  I'll let you know when it's on next year and hopefully you will be able to make it too.  Thanks again to my lovely friend Christine for helping make it so much fun.
FABULOUS FREE STUFF

I think this block is delightful. The tutorial to make it is at delightful Bee in My Bonnet.  Here is the LINK. Enormous thanks to super clever and generous Lori for all she shares.

  1. Oh beautiful eye candy. That first one is stunning. Sometimes quilt shows can make me feel a bit inadequate, but this one just looks inspiring.

  6. I went yesterday Mel... I really like that particular exhibition - I can't decide whether it is because it is held in a church and has that almost reverent air about it, or because of the group who organise it or simply because the quilts exude the love in which they were stitched...I also like that it is small and you feel like you can pause and reflect on what you are looking at before moving on to the next without that hustle and bustle of the bigger exhibitions. I had a few favourites - but the one that won me over was the one with the centre made from wee hexies with rosebud fussy cut diamonds every so often... It was draped rather than hung and I would have like to seen it in its entirety - but didn't think to ask a 'white gloved' lady at the time. I also caught up with Gina - Patra's Place and her friend Connie - so it was a good day all round - a pleasant way to spend a Saturday afternoon...
