Healing hearts

I'm a member of Scquilters, a great on-line group for quilters in Australian and New Zealand.  Ex-pats are very welcome too.  I have to confess I don't read my email from the group every day but I took a look at the Healing Hearts list yesterday and felt compelled to make some hearts for fellow members who are experiencing illness and loss.

for Terry
for Trish
for Mandy

I also made another little birthday gift for Sue in the Birthday Fat Quarter Swap because I am a scatterbrain and accidentally sent her first present off to some-one else.

One last little thing to show, a block for Quilting Block Swaps Australia which is on its way to Texas.  This swap is organised by sweet Sue, the birthday girl.

FABULOUS FREE STUFF
Here's a link to a project for those of you who love to keep teeny tiny little scraps. Most pieces in this project measure 1" - 2 ".  Definitely a Scrap Buster project and with a great tutorial too.
So huge thanks to super clever Amanda Jean at Crazy Mom Quilts  and the wonderful bunch at fabulous Sew Mama Sew.  Click here for the Tutorial.

  1. Pretty heart blocks Melody, and it sounds like for a great cause cheering up friends in need of cheering. I just posted my first bit of the Penny Rug SAL. Thought you might want to pop over to see it.

  7. Lovely post Melody and love the tiny doll quilt. Maybe it will be a chance to use up some of those small bits that keep on accumulating.

  8. Just seeing those hearts has made me smile, I know they'll make the recipients happy too. Your log cabin block is really beautiful, gorgeous shades of colours. Sue will love her gift, you always make such special things.
