Reading Fun

A READING CHALLENGE
I love to read, almost as much as I love to sew, which is why I love audio books so much.  This year I thought I'd enter a reading challenge (I've only just learned they exist) and I've found a really fun one over at Beth Fish Reads.
I copied this from the website.

Between January 1 and December 31, 2012, read one book in each of the following categories:
  1. A book with a topographical feature (land formation) in the title: Black Hills, Purgatory Ridge, Emily of Deep Valley
  2. A book with something you'd see in the sky in the title: Moon Called, Seeing Stars, Cloud Atlas
  3. A book with a creepy crawly in the title: Little Bee, Spider Bones, The Witches of Worm
  4. A book with a type of house in the title: The Glass Castle, The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest, Ape House
  5. A book with something you'd carry in your pocket, purse, or backpack in the title: Sarah's Key, The Scarlet Letter, Devlin Diary
  6. A book with a something you'd find on a calendar in the title: Day of the Jackal, Elegy for April, Freaky Friday, Year of Magical Thinking
The book titles are just suggestions, you can read whatever book you want to fit the category.

  7. I have signed up for the reading challenge. It will be fun. I love owly things so will look forward to seeing this BoM. Thank heaven I don't have to entertain children in the holidays :) I saw my neighbour (4 littlies) having some time out in a chair under a tree this afternoon. Or maybe she was hiding behind the tree :)

  8. I love to read too, unfortunately I don't have much time. I read mostly on my Summer vacation.
I love VAl's work so I'm very curious about that lovely owl.
Thanks on your lovely comment and on your color tip, I think blue will be a great color for the sashing.
    Hugs,
    Teresa

  9. The book challenge looks like fun and as I also love reading so much think this is certainly something I will enjoy joining in with and will also match my new idea to do a weekly book review as well.
